Robust
Pudgy Roses
Spring up to
Grow
In concrete
Jungles.
There are
Cracks
Everywhere---
Especially
On the
Sidewalks.
Still---
Shrubs erected
Grow,
Climbing in
Height, leaving
Trails that
Expose
Decency
And grace.
The light of
Life
Does indeed
Live here---
Blooming
Beautifully
In all kinds
of varieties, --
Ranging from
yellows to reds,
Roses ---
Smart, sweet
Smelling
Rows of Roses --
Tingling with
Pride, with
Gusto---benefiting
From a heritage
Stretching
The far reaches
Of Persia---,
Lengthy buds
Turn Leaflets
&
Its undersides
Into a glorious
Existence of
Daring stems.
To view Them
From above
Is to see a
Superior species
Of life---
Despite cracks
And debris
Everywhere –
Beautiful Roses --
Lined rows
Expectant--- Awaitin'
The day when
The Pearly Gates
Do in fact open---
Sweeping up into
Paradise earthly
Ornaments From
God--- who’s having
Chosen you is absolute.
